End of 2022 Foto Update
Where things are at with Foto as we head into 2023.

Thank you for following along with Foto. I know the updates have slowed down a bit, but we continue progressing on several fronts. Below I’ll touch on a few different topics to give you an overview of what we are working on.
Front End Development
Here is where we are now with software development. The screens labeled in yellow should be done sometime in January.
The current pace of development is slower than we’d like, but it’s due to limited funds at the moment. I’m currently self-funding all development of Foto. If you’d like to contribute and help speed up development, then you can do so HERE!
CO-FOUNDER PROGRESS
I’m still talking almost daily with a person that will become a Co-Founder of Foto. This person will help Foto become a very positive and unique platform. There is a lot to discuss once we finalize our Co-Founding documents. We will release some new Foto Podcast episodes together, discussing some of the problems we hope to solve with Foto. I can’t wait to introduce you to the future Co-Founder of Foto.
BEHIND-THE-SCENES DISCUSSIONS
As you can imagine, building a new social photography platform is complicated and fraught with many potential pitfalls. We have many problems to solve and topics to work through to bring an innovative app to market.
We are discussing 4 major topics right now.
Social
Search
Storage
Security
Each massive topic has a long list of problems/issues that must be dealt with. Some of these are innovation problems, some logistical problems, and some philosophical ones.
We are asking ourselves how we will solve a wide range of issues, and we are making sure that our philosophical principles back our solutions. For now, these discussions have to stay private, but we will be openly talking about these in more detail as we get our legal paperwork taken care of.
EARLY 2023
This year is going to be massive for Foto. We will definitely be releasing the Private Beta Version sometime this year. The timing of this release depends on many factors, and things can change very fast.

Raise $20k - $250k
Once we complete step 4, we will be off and running. Foto will be launched shortly after that, and we can update it quickly.
